Childbirth should be one of the most beautiful and joyful moments in life. Yet, in remote areas of southeastern Liberia, it often ends in tragedy. Far too many young women are losing their lives while giving birth, and countless children are being lost to preventable diseases.
What makes this even more heartbreaking is that many of these tragedies go unreported. Families suffer in silence because they lack even the most basic healthcare services. We cannot stand by and allow this to continue. The time to act is now.
In these communities, there are little to no healthcare facilities available. Without doctors, nurses, or medicines, families are left vulnerable and helpless in moments when care could make the difference between life and death.
Mothers risk their lives bringing children into the world. Infants and young children die from illnesses that could easily be treated. And because so many of these losses are unrecorded, the scale of the crisis remains hidden from view.
HolyPath Church – A Place of Peace & Purpose
For the past seven years, Kpalo-Bli Education and Development Organization (KEDO) has been working to restore hope and opportunity for children and families in Sinoe County, Liberia. Now, through the Save Women and Children Project, we are taking the next step: building a community health clinic that will provide desperately needed medical services and save countless lives.
This clinic will mean safe childbirth for mothers, treatment for preventable diseases in children, and a chance for families to live with dignity and hope.
"Infants and young children die from illnesses that could easily be treated."
To make this vision a reality, we need your partnership. Our goal is to raise $75,000 to build and equip the clinic. With your donation, we can:
Here’s how you can support:
We believe that together, we can bring change and hope to families in one of the most vulnerable regions of Liberia. By supporting this project, you are not only helping to build a clinic—you are helping to secure a future for mothers, children, and generations to come.
On behalf of the Board, our team, and the families we serve, thank you for standing with us in this fight to save lives.
With gratitude,
